Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement strategic communication plans aligned with organizational objectives to enhance public perception. Conduct thorough audience research and analysis to identify key stakeholders and their communication needs. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and influencers.
- Content Creation and Management: Craft high-quality written content, including press releases, news articles, speeches, presentations, and engaging social media posts. Manage and update website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Develop and produce compelling multimedia content, such as videos and infographics.
- Media Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for media representatives, building and maintaining strong relationships. Respond effectively to media inquiries and coordinate interviews. Proactively monitor media coverage and analyze emerging media trends.
- Social Media Management: Develop and execute social media strategies to elevate brand awareness and engagement. Create and schedule captivating social media content. Monitor and engage with social media interactions.
- Event Planning and Execution: Plan and execute impactful public affairs events, including press conferences, media tours, and community outreach initiatives. Manage all event logistics, encompassing scheduling, budgeting, and on-site coordination.
- Branding and Messaging: Develop and maintain consistent and compelling messaging across all communication channels. Ensure all communication materials reinforce the organization's brand identity and adhere to established messaging guidelines.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform the development of effective public affairs strategies and campaigns. Monitor public opinion and identify emerging issues that could impact the organization's reputation.
- Industry Best Practices: Stay informed of the latest trends and innovations in public affairs, communications, and digital media. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance communication strategies and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in public affairs, communications, or journalism.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms and content management systems.
- Experience with graphic design and multimedia production is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of media relations and public relations best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Keen attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
