Position Summary: The Reserve Component Transition Assistance Advisor (RCTAA) is responsible for providing comprehensive transition assistance services to Reserve Component Service Members. This includes one-on-one counseling, group workshops, and other support services to help Service Members successfully transition to civilian life.

Position Summary: The Reserve Component Transition Assistance Advisor (RCTAA) is responsible for providing comprehensive transition assistance services to Reserve Component Service Members. This includes one-on-one counseling, group workshops, and other support services to help Service Members successfully transition to civilian life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counseling and Advising: Conduct a minimum of 40 one-on-one counseling sessions per month with fully qualified Reserve Component Service Members. Provide comprehensive transition assistance services, including career counseling, education benefits, and VA benefits.
- Program Delivery: Deliver at least 50 service programs per month to a minimum of 75 Service Members. Conduct regular outreach and engagement activities to connect with Service Members and promote transition services.
- Data Management and Reporting: Submit a minimum of two survey events per month. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all counseling sessions, program deliveries, and client interactions. Prepare and submit timely reports as required.
- Administrative Duties: Respond to emails promptly and professionally. Adhere to all NSCG policies and procedures, as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Submit timely travel reimbursement requests. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Professional Development: Attend weekly team training meetings and monthly RCTAA training meetings. Participate in the monthly RCTAA teleconference. Stay current on relevant regulations, policies, and best practices in the field of military transition.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of military culture and the challenges faced by transitioning Service Members.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in counseling or advising preferred.
- Military experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel as required.
