Position Summary

The MuleSoft Technical Consultant provides hands-on development and technical configuration support for MuleSoft applications and integrations supporting USACE LPI Solution initiatives. This role is responsible for implementing integration logic, developing APIs and secure authentication mechanisms, supporting Authorization to Operate (ATO) compliance activities, and producing technical evidence required for the Body of Evidence (BoE).
The consultant works closely with the MuleSoft Architect and cross-functional delivery teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions. 

This is a remote position with occasional onsite travel possible. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead technical configuration updates required to achieve MuleSoft Authorization to Operate (ATO) compliance.
  • Draft and deliver technical artifacts and supporting evidence for the Body of Evidence (BoE). 
  • Architect and implement bidirectional integrations with Oracle systems of record to support complex read/write operations and historical data lookups.
  • Design and implement secure authentication layers supporting Internal Document Generation solutions, ensuring secure field-level transmission and return of documents to Salesforce.
  • Define and implement API standards and reusable integration assets within the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to support scalability for future phases
  • Provide technical oversight and cross-phase alignment in coordination with the MuleSoft Architect to reduce technical debt and ensure consistent integration patterns.
  • Develop, configure, and troubleshoot MuleSoft integration flows, including transformation logic and backend system connectivity.
  • Support unit testing, debugging, and resolution of defects related to MuleSoft APIs and integration components.
  • Translate user and system requirements into MuleSoft API designs and deployable integration solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical reviews, and delivery demonstrations as required.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance as necessary
  • Demonstrated experience developing APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Anypoint Studio. 
  • Experience with complex enterprise integrations, including Oracle (system of record) connectivity.
  • Experience implementing secure authentication and protecting data transmission in integrated systems.
  • Familiarity integrating MuleSoft with Salesforce and supporting enterprise workflow automation.
  • Strong technical documentation skills (especially compliance and audit-supporting evidence).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal ATO compliance processes and documentation deliverables.
  • ​​​​​​​Experience defining API governance, standards, and reusable assets for scaling integration programs.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns supporting phased delivery roadmaps and MVP-to-scale implementations.
